Compact, simple, and clean. Only display the data you want. Anytime a column isn't visible, the message column expands to use the space. Also, columns are only as wide as necessary for the actual content. • Everything scales to whatever size makes you happy. • If you go to Adium's "Messages" prefpane and deselect "show user icons" the icon column will disappear. • Direct-connect images Default to thumbnail, but on click will resize to max width of column (or full width, whichever is smaller). • The XtraColor variants display a small per-user color block between the sender and the message. • Hovering the cursor over any message will Highlight that message. Clicking on any message will also highlight all other messages from that sender. Props to David Smith for the JavaScript. • There's no header in normal buddychat, but if the "show header" checkbox is selected then groupchats will show the topic in a header (in Adium 1.4).
